Reasons to Visit Salem

Our commuter rail arrives just past 1p…

I am downtown…

Situated in the Central downtown region of Salem are the obvious tourist attractions meant to ingratiate a sense of reliving in those who visited for the old witch trials…. Circa 1692. Art exhibitions can be found right off of Essex Street including the Witch House at 310 where many of the trials themselves took place.

310 Essex St.

I sensed no strange vibrations coming from the locale… Salem in general was chill on the vibes.

One block over from the art exhibition as shown pictures of the Gallows at the top of this page, $12 for a self-guided tour, are game and comic stores and tattoo parlors in the theme of the relevant locality. Yours truly picked up a complete edition of Doomsday Clock.

Price is quite reasonable I might add.. there is no extra tourist fee or convenience charge given the location be at central downtown. Every manga from Souleater to Deathnote could be found on the back left wall with everything Marvel and DC direct opposite the counter…

The downtown area was mostly populated by obese tourists and construction workers in progress of constructing developments recently. Signs had been posted all throughout Salem complaining about overdevelopment within the city. No contingency has been sought. The city continues to grow and expand boasting a population of 43,134.

For those as it was yours truly, whose purpose visiting the city it was the soul intent of visiting the Satanic Temple on Bridge St., the following pictures are inside of what has been rendered the Salem Art Exhibition and was only that at the time upon paying $12 to enter. A grand curriculum can be observed and researched within the confines of the library on the second story, first door to the right up the stairs. I was told that I would be allowed to spend hours inside though sadly on this trip did not have the time. I will however be making some of my own contributions on our second visit in a week and a half.

After the library I just had to visit the Throne Room…

This room adjacent to the library room with it’s running stream of documentaries on a 30 inch Telescreen is what I, though erroneously, refer to as the Throne Room. (No TV in here…) Two chairs signify what..? More research required and will be added to this article. 180 degrees to this photo taken was an antiquated copy of Milton’s Paradise Lost… of course! on an antique table. (Quite Noir indeed.)

And… my boi!!! Baphomet….also tits…. Duh!

As we learned accidentally, you cannot take photos until you pay the fee. Be warned.

Elvira!!!!!!!!!

Satanic Temple gets a 5 out of 5 on our tour and will receive many repeat visits from 🦊.

Back downtown… this nerd needs a fix on some nerdy stuff and decides to visit a local game store.

A block adjacent from our comic store is a video game museum / antique broker.

Anybody travelling with me would have just began his or her descent into hell as I fawn over these consoles like a 12 year old fangurl…!

The sign drew me in like a street fly to a beacon in a sea of darkness and obese tourists…

I’m that guy…

Salem Massachusetts was overall not too good but not too bad… We didn’t get to see much of it… And this article will be edited as I procure return visits during my time here in Massachusetts. As an added bonus however.. the taxis are ironic.

Stay interesting my friends…
